The Yesterday Report

May 21, 2006 19:04

I am feeling considerably less emo today, thanks to 1.) a pretty good yesterday and 2.) 14 hours of sleep, something that's been in short supply since Thursday. Basically, yesterday was all right--I went in to work from about 8:30 to 4:30, typed LPRs, all that crap. Mark poked his head in around 11:15 to ask me if I liked Golden Corral, assuring me ( Read more... )

Is your m0mmy home less at the moment? Because if she is (and I know you're not home much) it might simply be that the kitty is feeling lonely, and weeing in naughty places is a very good way of getting attention.

Teh m0mmy has been keeping her usual hours lately; I do, however, get the feed that Callice is doing this to try and get my attention, since when she tried to pee on one of the wing chairs yesterday, she looked right at us, as if to say, "Go on and stop me. I dare you!" (We did stop her.)

Joy said she also thought it was most likely an attention-getting thing, since her transsexual cat has been doing the same thing. (This after bladder surgery, so he has slightly more of an excuse.)

Eep, yes, that does sound a lot like attention-seeking behaviour then, especially as cats are usually so private about their toileting habits. There's probably something minor that's changed that you haven't even realised, like a new cat in the neighbourhood or something like that.

Also, new greeny layout! Whee!

Well, there is a sizable population in our neighborhood of cats who either don't belong to anyone or who are allowed to roam the neighborhood at will, so it's possible Callice has run into some of those; over the weekend, she screamed at two of them to GET OFF OUR SIDEWALK NOW DAMMIT.

It's an old greeny layout, but I like it. :)

Hee, I can just picture that :) It's like Tricky whenever anyone walks past. He does not appreciate it at all.

There's an orange-and-white cat who is not shy at all about coming up to you and demanding pets; we call him Cat Jesus because he loves everybody. When Callice first met Cat Jesus, her immediate response was, "NO!!!!!111 THIS IS OUR PORCH! GET OFF IT!!!!!"

There's an orange cat who comes visiting here too. She keeps out of Misty's way, but loves sitting on top of the back fence and taunting Tricky *g*
