Sightseeing

My relative, the British physics professor who was here earlier this year, came to Long Island for the weekend as a friend of his was having a birthday party. He was returning to England yesterday and took a train into Penn Station where we met and spent some time together. We found a nice restaurant for lunch then walked to the lovely Bryant Park and sat for awhile looking at some family photos in his laptop then went to the New York Public Library Main Branch aka The Stephen A. Schwarzman Building and did some sight seeing inside the large library before going back to the park and having some ice cream. Afterwards we walked back to Penn Station so he could take a train to Newark where the airport he would be flying from was located and so I could take a subway back to my residence. It was a lovely day and I was so happy to have done this.

Not much is going on which is why I haven't posted anything in September. My friend who died had her obituary in the NY Times a week or so ago and there will be a memorial service on the 28th which I will attend.
