RIP Tillie
Well the unpredictable happened. My friend CM in Fargo called me on Wednesday, the next day, telling me her stepmother Tillie had passed on early that morning. She planned to come to NY to attend her funeral on Friday. I asked another friend of mine if she could stay in her guest room Thursday night and she said yes. CM flew in on Thursday and we spent the afternoon and evening together. Early Friday morning she took the train to New Rochelle and went to the funeral meeting her stepbrother and stepsisters, their children and grandchildren and saying farewell to her stepmother. She then flew home to Fargo and landed that evening. I will be seeing her on the 22nd when I will be going to Fargo for 2 weeks. In many ways I think Tillie was very fortunate. She lived to be 102 and was fairly active until she had the stroke and quickly and with little pain passed on.
