A fairly normal Friday DiTL :)

Apr 29, 2013 20:03

G'morning. I forgot I wanted to do a DITL until I was already washed up and eating breakfast. Pills, yay! I'm finally back in the habit of taking my vitamins (along with allergy meds and dairy pills) and i'm proud of myself.

I hate leaving this :( It's just a tad chilly, so I put my light jacket on over my sweatshirt.

Dontcha love when you get a parking space right in front of the house?

Get to work! See some notes from my boss. hmmm...Oh hi, cutest baby! R is 13 months now :)

We play with cups and the shakey-egg thing. It's fun watching her put it in, take it out, hide it, etc.

I take off her sleep pants cuz she was slipping around in them, and they immediately become a new toy! ha. She starts signing for milk, so i get some started defrosting.

While it's warming up, I take a pee break with company...then it's bottle time.

Night night R! I sit down with a book, but actually spend most of the hour on my phone, and then start reading only to discover i reeeeally don't like it. Everything about it was just...awkward. too bad.

Wake the baby, and distract her with the monitor so i can fix her hair. Then it's lunch time! Chicken and potatoes and rice for her, pb&j for me...I log my stupid calories because i'm trying to lose a few pounds before superduckie's wedding in June!

I change baby's diaper, and then her sheets so I don't forget them later. Then we go out for a walk!

I started out with the intention of just walking around aimlessly, so go to the big park...but then decide it would be cool to check out a storytime I heard about at a local toy store. I forgot to take any other pics except this one that i took to send to my boss (we've been trying to get bebe some utensils to play with). On the way back home we pass some gooooorgeous gardens!

Baby loves her water cup! She took to the straw like she was born drinking from one. More pretty flowers!

We get home and I check my stats for the walk--not bad, not bad at all! Then baby gets another bottle and goes straight down for second nap.

Start the laundry and then sit with a book i know i *do* like, my water, and some yummy almonds.

I hate waking this sweet sleeping babe, but alas. Those are my orders! We play in her room with the awesome Hebrew blocks i got her for her birthday. Then her mom comes home, so I stop taking as many pictures--it's kinda awkward!

We all head out for a walk, meeting up with one of my boss-mom's friends in a playground along the way. R loves the swing! Our destination, though, is Ben and Jerry's, because I had a severe mint chocolate chip ice cream craving. I also got their new candy bar flavor. AMAZING.

Heading out! At one point on my commute i got stuck behind a bus, but I don't mind because they all say "Boston Strong" and I love it.

Don't get to go home yet...have to go walk this bundle of energy! This is my friend's dog, Lylah. My brother was technically dog- and house-sitting, but couldn't get there in time on Friday so I did her evening walk and dinner.

I'm excited to see that my friends' baby has been playing with the soft blocks i made for him! :D Give Lylah her food and fresh water after our walk, then head home.

On the way I see this license plate, which I have to take a pic of to send to the bf. Finally...home sweet home.

I was so tired that I just got right into bed when I got home, to read some more until I got hungry enough for dinner. Pilaf seems easy enough.

I eat it at the computer, but then go lie back down with my heating pad. I did a Krav Maga class on Wednesday and the *warmup* kicked my butt. I was sore for DAYS.

I finish the book--sadface. Console myself with candy. Then I give in to my sleepiness and go wash up.

It got chilly in the evening, so the heater goes on before bed. Then, as I'm saying goodnight to the boy, i get a scary text from my brother. Sure am glad that I wasn't the one taking care of Lylah overnight! Yipes. I make sure everything is ok, then go sleeps.
