A long day but a short ditl!
I moved on Saturday! Finally out of my parents' house :-) However, a lot of the day was just so busy I forgot to take pictures...here's what I got!
Really, body, really? I *wanted* to sleep in!
I give up and get up. Spend a bit of time on the compy, then start to make a dent in my packing...yes, i waited til the last minute. yes, i fail. Also: only about 30% of what you see in that picture is coming with me. I am possibly a hoarder in the making. oops.
Go to get washed up and finish packing bathroom essentials. Throw some clothes on that are a) cool and b) easy to move around in.
I scrounge around for pancake fixins in the mess of our dining/living room...because we've got a new kitchen! The appliances just came and i'm excited to use the new stove :-)
No counter yet, so the kitchen table must suffice for prep. omnomnom thanks mommy!
I devour my noms and share the comics with my mom. :-P
I waste some time ruining an old AAA card while daddy goes to the dump, then start moving stuff. First to the downstairs hall...
Then to the cars! This is mine, all packed up. We managed to fit *almost* everything I wanted in just mine and my dad's Outback.
My new room! I *adore* the color, completely adore. I've always wanted a green room! Mom and dad and my friend Vince (not pictured) help get everything in from the cars and set up. Then we head out to find some ice cream! ...which I also forgot to picture. fail. But yay for being walking distance from actual useful stuff!
My new street from the bottom, and my new house! We have the basement and first floor, four bedrooms, two full bathrooms. Is awesome.
It's also kind of a mess...that's my new roommate Joi's stuff. She's nowhere to be seen. But yeah, that's our kitchen! My room also needs a lot of work, but i'm zonked...
So I kick everyone out and make my bed and pass out for a bit. No idea how long I slept, but at 4:40 i get down to the business of unpacking and figuring out where the hell everything is gonna go!
I take a break and check email...holiday weekend=no internet til tuesday (the current day as I'm writing this!), so I use my stinky slow phone. I also light some candles to help with the residual paint fumes, yuck.
room is finally looking under control, so I rest with a book.
Hunger sets in, so I check out the millions of menus the last tenants left. I settle with the safest bet, since I know exactly what I like.
Mac and cheese pasta bowl, and a chocolate crunch lava cake. So bad, but so good...I kind of felt like shit while eating though, because of my pure lame-ness--eating alone on a saturday night in the city? WTF! Failshaina.
Ten o'clock, still lonely, texting peoples like mad. Nobody's around to hang out. Le sigh.
Go to get washed up in the "girls'" bathroom, and manage to drop a lightbulb while checking to make sure it's really dead. Oops.
I give up on waiting up for my roomie to appear, and go to bed.
