hehe, I love my family!
omg, tonight was so much fun! After I finally got off work, did the deposit (over 15 minutes waiting in the drive-thru lane cuz the person in front of me was a fucking idiot who decided to do 5 different transactions instead of going in the freaking building!!!), got gas, almost had to turn around due to problems at work (will get in to that later!!) I got to drive all the way to the 'rents in Saturday afternoon traffic. What is normally an hour trip, took me two hours. Not to mention the person who was supposed to relieve me at 1 didn't get there until 1:45.
Everyone laughed at me when I got there... I walked in, dumped my stuff (purse, blender, books) walked outside where everyone was gathered and just said, "Hi Mom, I made it! Where's the booze?"
Gods Mom knows how to make a margarita!
Almost the entire family was there, plus old friends and neighbors. All of my aunts were there. Tia Jayne managed to make it down which was amazing, and my dad's sister, Aunt Kathy was there. Hell, I don't think Aunt Kathy has been up there since my HS graduation. I sat and talked with her for most of the time, just catching up, and she made a valid point, I live closer to them than I do my parents... only by like 5 miles, but still.
We drank, we talked, we ate. It was so much fun.
I almost stayed there tonight, but I wanted to come home. This is my home now, I'm really just not comfortable at my 'rents any more... that and I still LOATHE that town. I don't want to spend any more time there than I have to.
I like my home better.
But damn I'm tired. Was up late last night, got up at 6 this morning for work, then work, then drive, then 'rents, then drive home.... at least I should be able to sleep in tomorrow..... unless Nick is serious about me meeting his dad.... gonna call him in a minute to find out.
