Notes/comments: My inspiration art for this story, right down to its title, reminded me strongly of themes and motifs from Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury. The story is about two young boys, frightening magic, and mutual coming-of-age, a beautiful and metaphorical romance told in subtext. I've tried to echo some of that in this little story.
