Shaggy Dog Swap Assignments!!!!
Sirius cocked his head and stared at the framed photograph for a moment before reaching out to adjust it minutely.
"Sirius, it's just a photograph on the living room wall. It's not as if it's a genuine Picasso in the Louvre."
"Goes to show how much you know, Moony," Sirius said. "Do you know what this is? Really?"
Remus was almost afraid to guess what might be in Sirius' head. "It's a photo of us when we were at Hogwarts, that night that we finished the Marauders' Map."
Sirius was already shaking his shaggy head. "No, Moony, no! This is history! This was a moment of our life that we managed to capture. Every photo in our flat tells the story of our lives apart and our life together."
Remus stared at Sirius for a moment. "Bloody hell. Where did that come from? That sounded almost philosophical and intelligent."
"Hey!" Sirius exclaimed. "I resent that! Just for that, you'll be sleeping on the couch tonight."
Remus laughed and grabbed Sirius in a hug, kissing Sirius on his slightly stubbled jaw. "Oh, I don't think so. You can't stand not having me in bed with you."
Sirius tried to protest, but he knew the truth had caught him out. "You're right," he admitted. "But it is true, that all of these photos tell a story about us."
Remus stared at the photo on the wall, then his eyes wandered to the one next to it, then the one next to it... "All of these wonderful pictures," he said softly. "I wonder what kinds of stories people would make about them?"
Sirius laughed. "I don't know, but I'll bet they'd all be interesting...."
