BUT OTHER THAN THAT, I WOULD LIKE TO PUT IN AN IMPORTANT THOUGHT OF THE DAY, from an entry in my digital diary that I wrote a long-ass time ago:
I've been studying human history and antiquties, and my proposition is this:
People haven't changed over 3000 years. We're all the same as we were before, just with more technology and knowledge about the physical world around us, but with our attitudes and actions unchanged. If there's one absolute thing I've learned by studying the past three-thousand years of humanity, it's that people get extremely angry when their hypocrisy is revealed.
For example, the Pharisees. The Pharisees were all about praying in public all the time so that everyone could see how good they were. And indeed, the public did think that they were good people. But then Jesus came along and basically said something along the lines of, "Um no, you guys are doing it all wrong. You're not glorifying God by praying in public, you're glorifying yourself, trying to look awesome and glorious and stuff. If you really want to be good people, stop it and try praying in private for once." and this pissed off the Pharisees. It pissed the living fuck out of them so hard that Jesus ended up DEAD, nailed to a big splintery piece of wood.
But did he do anything?
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, he just pointed out that someone was wrong.
People hate that.
People cannot stand the fact that maybe, MAYBE something they're doing is wrong, and that everyone can see it. It hurts them so bad to have someone else reveal that they're not always right, or that they're not doing the right thing.
And so they get angry, and act irrationally.
I want to write a book now.
