So, I voted for the first time yesterday. I went in and registered, which was surprisingly easy, and then I voted for McCain for President, Collins for Senator, and then other positions I didn't really care about much. Then, there were people getting signatures to petition for same sex marriage in Maine, so we all signed that. I voted for the Maine questions too, and those luckily turned out exactly how I voted. I'm glad the casino thing didn't pass. As much as I'd like a casino in Maine, this deal was truly horrible. It would have given this casino a monopoly for ten years and would give the owner an opportunity to sit on the board of any company that receives money from the casino, which includes the board of education. Bad, bad, bad.

Obama won, and that's nice. I didn't vote for him, but that's just because I think McCain could have done a better job. I don't see why Republicans are being such sore losers about this. Resentment will get them nowhere, and partisanship is the exact opposite of what Obama is trying to bring to this country. Republicans had to deal with Democrats whining and being sore losers for the past 8 years, so apparently that means that they can't get over themselves and take the high road this time around. They can't even give Obama a chance. I hope he does really well, and everyone else should. Pessimism isn't good.

The thing with Congress sucks, though.

Dropkick Murphys concert tomorrow! Woooo.

Thought of the Day-I've lost Monopoly twice this past week. It's terrible.
