And now for the comments:
ROTK won in ALL 11 categories for which it was nominated, and they deserved it. Not only is LOTR 3 of the best movies I've ever seen, ROTK is the best installment. The critics always gave the Trilogy the recognition it deserved, but the Academy did not... until tonight. It is kind of sad that there won't be any more installments to anticipate, but what better way to close the book on the Trilogy than with a bang like tonight?
Master and Commander won Best Cinematography. I knew they had it the moment I walked out of the theatre. The shots, cuts, and everything else were pheonomenal. I loved this film too - it's a great one!
I have to see Mystic River now. I don't know how I missed it. I guess I didn't catch all of the buzz until the past 2 weeks or so. I'll have to rent it and see what the big deal is. Of course, with Tim Robbins and Sean Penn in it, I'm bound to love it. Those two know how to act.
Finding Nemo won Best Animated Feature. Yay!!!! That movie was so cute and just plain awesome. Of course I'm going to say that since I'm Pixar-Obsessed. I can't help it.
I don't think I'll be seeing Monster. A movie about a serial-killing prostitute? No way. Especially not if it has Christina Ricci in it. She's never been one of my faves. If I made a worst-actor/actress list, she'd be first.
There you have it - my two cents on the Oscars. Hope you enjoyed it.
Well tomorrow I go to get my car fixed. Then I'm headed off to Ang's house. We're going to go to the Country Club on Tues. with Kristen to see about getting her an application to work there. I'll try to get on to update this tomorrow, but if not I'll post again Tues. night. Hope everyone has a great Monday. It's the beginning of the week, but hey, it's one day closer to Friday :). Toodles everyone!
