A tour of the most awesome place in Madison....
Let's start off with by far the creepiest thing there, brought to you by the knights of columbus!
Ok, now that that's out of the way, let's head over to one of the newer areas of the cemetery...
He sure loved that jean jacket
The backs on these things are just as impressive as the fronts
But this one...
...says screw nature, I'm getting some venison in the great beyond
This one is easily the best in the graveyard though. Not just because he's rocking the cowboy hat for the rest of eternity...
...but he's flying there in a jetliner.
This is also where the man who discovered how to measure butterfat content in milk lies
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Babcock
as well as a former head coach of the UW-Madison football team
Additionally,
Chris Farley lies there too, but I missed him. We actually poked our heads into this building, but didn't go in, thinking we were already on iffy ground about the "going to hell" thing. Moral of the story- doing the right thing ALWAYS bites you in the ass.
The thing that always worried me about dying is that people wouldn't know what my hobbies were after I was gone, but I guess modern technology has solved that problem
Some tombstones I can't even explain, they just feel.... right
And sometimes the living can't compete with the dead for sheer coolness
Here's your hero looking like a goof in front of a bunch of confederate dead (makes me feel like I'm back in Virginia)
Thank you and goodnight! I love you all!
