Friday night I met up with noevilliveon at Sugar Land Yarn Company for their knit night. Of course I also fell and slid my card. More pretty yarn came home with me, and some went home with Megan. She called me an enabler but it was said with love, I'm sure of it ( Read more... )

Thank you so much for all the lovely birthday wishes on facebook and here. It really made the day very sweet.

Dragon also posted a cute message. My mom called, dad texted. Lynn took the day off and spent it with me.

We had a quiet lunch at Kpop and I got to wear my new earrings.

I was going to make a couple more posts to share various pictures from the Natural Science Museum but I felt like it was dragging out forever because I've been so busy and distracted lately. So I uploaded the rest of the ones I wanted to share and they're all here.

It took quite a bit longer than expected but in the end, as with most things that take effort, I think it came out gorgeous and simply amazing. Now that it's off the needles and blocked I find myself in love with it again ... though not enough to instantly cast on another one. That might have to wait just a little bit so that I can work on a couple ( Read more... )

Patience really pays off sometimes as I had to wait a good 10 minutes for people to stop walking in front of me or to stop looking directly at me and then, seeing the camera I was holding up to take a picture, stop and pose so they could have their picture taken next to the dinosaur.
