Happy, Happy Birthday Baby!
Today is the day that my beloved lackland turns 37; feel free to wish him a happy birthday here and I'll make sure he sees it. :)
See, five years ago in February he asked me to marry him. I'd only known him for two weeks at that point. Two weeks later I accepted his proposal and a grand total of four months after we had met we married. When I asked him what he wanted for his upcoming birthday he thought for a second before he replied: "The greatest gift I could ever ask for would be to have you in my life." So, five years ago today we were married shortly after sunrise on the bank of a lake in Granbury, Tx.
Have there been hard times? You betcha. Have there been days when I wished it had never happened? Not a chance.
I've been blessed in so many ways. I have a man in my life who loves me unconditionally, who supports my choices, and pushes me to be a better person. He has melted my heart in all the right ways and been there with duct tape in hand when it falls to pieces. He is more than I could ever ask for in a partner for life. Through every twist and turn he's been there for me and I know that no matter what he will always be beside me on this trip through life.
