The slick feeling of nerves wash over me as I walk up to the glass doors. I enter and push the button. Another set of doors open and I step into the small box. I press another button and it feels like the floor had dropped out from under me. I stare at my queasy expression in the mirrored wall across from me.Finally the doors open again, I have reached my destination. I press the buzzer at the next door and wait for the answering buzz to sound before I'm allowed to enter the next room. Once inside I'm still nervous but relaxed by everybody's smiles and welcomes. I think I'll be ok, it's just another day. It just happens to be the first of, hopefully, many at my new job.
