Pride Weekend
Friday night was the Army of Darkness game. Tons of fun! It was cheesy, as it should be. There were some balancing issues but those could be worked out I suspect. The DM was a first time DM but lots of potential.
Saturday we ran a few errands, including picking up a new laptop for Lynn since his current laptop is my old machine from 2006. It's shiny .. but slow for some reason. I think it might be the silly crap that Toshiba put on it but I'm not sure, yet, how to wipe and reinstall Windows 8. We also stopped by and picked up a new blade for me, I'll have to share pictures when I get home, plus lots of lovely chocolate and alcohol from Specs. That evening we stopped in at Pride and I ended up with a full complement of beads. *grin*
Sunday was a very late start but we still managed to get groceries and a trip to Wal-mart in. The shopping trip was a complete bust, I should never go shopping for bras or clothing when I'm exhausted and not thinking straight. At least groceries were easy.
Miss Kid was dropped off Sunday evening for her month with us. She's home enjoying her first day to herself all summer. Her mother wasn't terribly happy that she won't see her on weekends for the month but she agreed to it and she's got her on Thursday evenings for their self defense class. She wanted to fight it (despite saying in email that it was fine) but I asked Kid and she said she'd rather just have the month with us. Evil step mom and all.
I don't think I got a single stitch knit all weekend, time to get on that.
