Year in Review

Dec 14, 2005 13:13

Meme snagged from several people: Go to your Calendar and find the first entry for each month of 2005. Post the first line of it in your journal and that's your 'Year In Review.'

We didn't start our journal until...hmm, April? Fortunately, I still have the link to our old blog so I snaffled the first two months from that:

March 2005
Welcome to the blog of Shadows of Fire, two enthusiastic writers currently based in the Wasatch Mountains. -- Ki [Isn't it remarkable how this is the first sentence of this journal as well? With the obvious exception of the word 'journal' replacing 'blog' here.]

April 2005
Fanfiction.net is being stupid. -- Ki [The more things change...]

May 2005
Random Jounin bad boys pic for the delight of all! -- Ki [Mmm, I still like that picture. Wish I knew the artist and could ask for icon-age rights.]

June 2005
Here you go: The Phantom of Konoha Chapter Five: A few More Threads. -- Fi [Look at that! Fi does exist! And just so you know, Phantom is still stuck on Chapter Five. It's not just Ki who takes forever.]

July 2005
So instead of going to the zoo with sisters #1-4, brother-in-law, and baby Bugs today, I stayed home and went to lunch with my mom and her parents, Gr'ma and Papa. We went to Indian Cuisine, where I worked last summer, and where the food is wonderful. Vegetable masala = much, much love. -- Ki [Because it is Indian food, this deserves more than one sentence. Mmmm, vegetable masala.]

August 2005
So I kept my promise to sna32 with surprisingly little difficulty. -- Ki [In reference to Bachelor Party, but it's just as amusing out of context.]

September 2005
The following is a reinactment. As far as possible, we stuck to what really happened.

No professors were harmed in the making of this reinactment, although Fi wishes it might have been otherwise. -- Fi [Ah, poor Fi...*huggles her* *is thwapped*]

October 2005
Shades of War is Love of Dewm and Dystrucksion. And crack. -- Ki [That's not actually the first line; it's the title of an lj-cut containing incredible hot tub/hat crack. So much love for Shades peeps!]

November 2005
Well, the final version of nuklear_firefly's birthday drabble attacked me at work today, so I quickly scribbled down the first few paragraphs and am writing the rest in the update field. Hurrah for Team Sagawa! -- Ki [Mmm, that was a fun story to write!]

December 2005
Days like this, I know why it is that I could never live in the city. -- Ki [I was homesick. Still am. Home in three days!]

So. We have established that Ki talks too much, and Fi not enough, and that when Ki is talking too much she is altogether far too prone to babbling. 'Tis fun though!

-Ki
