Dear Citi Credit Cards

Dear Citi Credit Cards:

In the first place, I should not have a line of credit with you because I closed that line of credit three years ago, after I signed up for the card and never received it in the mail. Obviously, the person that I told to cancel it was an idiot and didn't, because I've received a statement from you with a $10 credit balance.

Now, if I call your representative and she asks me for a password and I explain to her that I don't know the password because it's been three years, I really don't want her to give me attitude about it. I'm pissed off enough that this card was supposed to have been canceled, and wasn't. The last thing I need is your offshore CS getting bitchy with me because I can't remember some asinine password from three years ago, when I have problems remembering all of my log in passwords on a day to day basis.

And now the woman transferred me to the fraud department. Why, I don't know. Apparently, not knowing some stupid password, or the cell phone number I had three years ago, means I'm trying to fraudulently cancel my own account. It would be one thing if there was any balance on there, but there isn't. I don't even want their dumb $10. I just want the card closed, because, seriously, wtf.

Card Closed. Frustrated now, even more so than before. Thanks, Citi.
