Ho Hum

At Corvel they like me well enough to want me working several days. Working both jobs, I have almost no time off until November. At MCV, I am also appreciated. That’s good because I need to earn enough money to pay for December & January with very little help. Work work work.

I’ve started giving Mom foot massages again because that way I get to see her feet and lower legs and get a better idea of her health. She is still doing well considering her mental state and I still hate it bit I love her.

Lately I seem to be focusing on items and storiy parts that I want to use in a play about Mom and Alzheimer’s but it is not coming clear yet. At least it is not yet as clear as the Journey of the Dark Goddess has become. I need to set myself down and do some note taking on my thoughts. I also want to get back to reading up on Fractured Atlas.

Attended my first Mary Baldwin Alumni get together at the Blue Bee Cidery and enjoyed meeting one or two other alumni. It’s hard when I was an online student to feel that “school spirit” that people talk about. I never met any other students and had no college days get togethers.

Not so ho-hum; Sheridan Dye stopped in on her way back and forth to a wedding in South Carolina. She stayed over on Friday and on Sunday nights and we spent a lot of time talking. SHe talks so fast and seems to always be fluttering or moving that she makes me think of Blanche in Streetcar Named Desire. It was really wonderful to see a friend from years ago and remonded me of so many friends I have lost contact with.
