What the hell is Shadowiii doing?
He's writing a book in a month, that's what he's doing!
Just thought my LJ friends would like an update: Due to me being a huge poop writing my "current" book, I decided to bum rush a second one. This one's the first book in a potential YA series, the series titled "Might of the Steelgods" (dont' have a good title for the actual book yet). My goal is to write the whole book (between 50-90k words) in a single month, writing a minimum of 2,000 words each day.
So far it's been going decent, for six days anyway. I'm also extensively discovery writing this book (meaning: minimal planning before putting fingers to keyboard), which makes some parts interesting. I tend to write that way by majority anyway, so this isn't a huge stretch, but I don't think I've been this bare-boned before.
Aside from that, I graduate this December ("Hell, it's about time"), so I'm working on finishing school. I'm hoping work and school don't overwhelm me too much as I try to write this book.
I'm also going to Ohio in October for WorldFantasy convention (a writing con), which should be fun. I also plan on going to both WorldFantasy and WorldCon next year, as they'll be in San Diego and Reno respectively, which is close enough that I could actually drive there instead of flying.
That's it for me. Life happens. I'm playing video games, but not as much. I like video games. I'm probably going to cave and get the new Call of Duty game, because I'm a consumer whore. What is wrong with me.
