I am a leaf on the wind...

I have literally been on cloud nine since yesterday. Even waking up for my 8:30am meeting this morning did nothing to dampen my spirits. Why? Because I came, I saw, and I loved the BDM. Serenity was FANTASTIC, I am in love, and I am seeing it again next week. Went with the parental units, and they both held much love for it as well. I gave my father a quick run-down of the characters and background before we got into the theatre, and he said he understood it all just fine, calling it "excellent." My mother has been watching the show with me as it airs on Sci-Fi, so she knows nearly as much as I do now.

I can't stop saying how much I loved this film. It was funny, it was thrilling, and it was just lovely.

Chewetel Ejiofor = TEH LOVE

Loved him in Amistad, adored him here. When Zorg from The Fifth Element mentioned that what he likes is 'a dyed-in-the-wool killer--cold-blooded, clean, methodical and thorough,' The Operative embodies this description to a tee. What more can I say, really, other than Mal/The Operative slash, anyone? Anyone? Bueller? ::clears throat and looks innocent:: If only I could write Firefly, I would soooo write an epic. But alas, I could never do it justice.

David Krumholtz as Mr. Universe--so delightfully geeky. Ah, the geek love; I can feel it. And I have to wait until FRIDAY for my next episode of Numb3rs.

Simon - not a vest in sight, but a rather nice blue number. Simon in sleek Alliance gear, very nice. ::shallow:: And the brother-sister love is so sweet. I have a thing for siblings, probably because I think my brother is just the cat's meow, and we share silliness and film quotes.

River-whoopin' - I just love seeing River kicking bootay. And that look she gives Simon when he asks "Am I talking to Miranda now?" just cracked me up. And of course, "I swallowed a bug." Priceless.

Mal - You know, when I watched my first episode of Firefly, I thought, oh what a boring captain, where on earth is the appeal? But Mal steadily grew on me and now I think he's just right.

Wash - ::bawls:: My mother's favorite character. And in the last scene, I saw those dinosaurs and just said 'awwww.' There were gasps in the theatre when he was killed. I was very glad I knew beforehand because I probably would have gasped right along with them.

Zoe - No more wife soup. Even after losing her husband, she still had a mission to accomplish. Always a soldier. My mother said now Zoe is going to have to find a new boyfriend, but I told her, and she agreed, that I couldn't imagine Zoe with anyone else. Though it took a little while to become used to the quirky couple, I realized they were adorable together.

Kaylee - I've always liked her, and I still like her. I've never been a Kaylee/Simon shipper, though. ::shrug::

Inara - Lovely as always. Can I have her bedroom? Okay, so I sorta already have her bedroom. Again, not a Mal/Inara shipper, so I was neither here nor there on any relationship progression. I've never been much for canon shipping in any fandom, preferring rather to play with other possibilities.

Jayne - Ah, Jayne, you rock. Ever since My Bodyguard I've loved Adam Baldwin (and carolinecranewrites some lovely My Bodyguard slash, btw). It's so amusing seeing him go from sullen, quiet Ricky to grr-argh Jayne. Sooo, love love love. ::dies dies dies::

Now, on to ROME. Very graphic episode. I suppose one of these days I should stop being surprised at that fact. I love Titus Pullo helping just about everyone. He's helping Octavian become a man, Vorenus to loosen up and he gives him support, and he tells Niobe and her sister to move on, already! Niobe will always be in the dog-house in my eyes, but at least Evander is out the picture. Pullo is so great with Vorenus and with Octavian. He may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but he means well. Need more Romefic!

No more House until November?! I think I shall die!
