Wow, my seven year LJ anniversary was yesterday. I can't believe I've been around here for that long!

Last week, I mentioned that Ben McKenzie was a guest programmer on TCM and asked you guys what classic films you would choose if you were a TCM guest programmer, but forgot to share my own choices! Well, instead of picking films that air frequently enough, like The Philadelphia Story, Patton, The Thin Man, Giant, In the Heat of the Night, The Adventures of Robin Hood, etc., I thought I would focus on a few that are hardly ever shown anymore:Oscar Nominations. I know I'm not the only person surprised by the snubs for Chris Nolan and Andrew Garfield. Considering the weirdness of the Academy, it's not surprising Hailee Steinfeld was pushed down into the Supporting Actress category, even though the other characters support her in that film. It's still disappointing, though. Extra yays for How to Train Your Dragon in the Animated Film and Original Score categories. I wish it would win both, but I know it won't. Also yay for the Inception music, and woo, Jeremy Renner! Looks like I really need to see Winter's Bone. In conclusion, GO COLIN FIRTH!

Some Dark Tower possible casting news. Wow, I had no idea they were planning a TV component to supplement the films.

A new version of Thundercats is coming to Cartoon Network later this year.

ABC is developing a detective show about Edgar Allan Poe and NBC is developing another L.A.-based crime drama (since they booted off Southland and Law & Order: Los Angeles has hit some bumps in the road).

The latest casting rumors for Charlie's Angels. I hope it's true about Rachael Taylor. Loved her in Transformers. But I haven't heard the best things--talent-wise--about the other two actresses. Maybe they'll surprise me? :-\

Vampire Diaries spoilers and MAJOR CASTING NEWS. I remember him in Master & Commander, but he was just a baby then.

Hawaii Five-0 casting spoiler.

NCIS casting news. \o/

Clip from next week's NCIS:LA. ::makes shoo-ing motions:: No thank you.

Fringe's solid Friday ratings were boosted an additional 42% because of DVR viewing! Fringe video preview with a spoilery tidbit at the bottom, and more great news about an upcoming episode.

Glee: The Wit of Brittany.

You know, The Cape might be better if Summer Glau was the Cape instead. I like the circus people, especially Ruvi, so they could stay, too.

My interest in Syfy's Being Human is currently hanging by a thread. The writing just isn't great, some of the acting isn't great (all the ladies, which is really unfortunate given my love for the ladies of BH UK), and I am struggling to care for most of these people.

Series three of the Original and Vastly Superior Being Human to premiere on BBC America on February 19th!

Promo pics from next week's episode of Southland! Adorable and cuuuute.

I was really really really hoping to be wrong about Nate. Unfortunately, I wasn't. :'-( :'-( :'-( But thank goodness I already suspected he was going to die because it was upsetting enough to watch as it was.

Sammy was driving me nuts throughout the entire episode (Shawn Hatosy has been really convincing, and his devastation at the end was heartbreaking). I've said before, had his stupidity gotten Nate killed, I would never have forgiven him, but it turned out that he was the one telling Nate to chill and let it go, and it was Nate's decision to get out of the car. Didn't Nate just say in 3x01 that sometimes it was better to back off and live than die a hero? Especially when you're that outnumbered. Gah, now I'm mad at him, so let me just link to these post-episode interviews with Kevin Alejandro and move on to other things.

Sherman made so many rookie mistakes OMG. YOU'RE SON'S DEAD!! ::facepalm:: I LOLed and LOLed when Sherman took his eyes off the perp, and we saw him running away in the background. Baby's still got a bit of growing up to do.

Err, that domestic call was not on Rodeo and therefore nowhere near the Jungle. That was Downtown. I know it makes for a good line (ie. Angelina & Jen aren't duking it out in front of Tiffany's, so it's Rodeo, not Rodeo), but I still sighed at the inaccuracy.

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGG, Cooper! Dorsey? Jefferson? It's official. You are family. ::clings to my new Uncle John:: LOL Sherman went to Crossroads. IN A CUTE LITTLE WHITE ROBE.

O HAI AGENT HENRIKSON FROM SPN! If you were actually playing a character like Victor, I'd totally ship you with Lydia, but you and your partner are juvenile slackers. Boo. Maybe Victor is his twin? I smell an AU crossover! Victor & Lydia pwning demons, Y/Y? ;-P At least the coroner guy is cool.

And speaking of Lydia, how awesome is she? She may not have the evidence to take that kid down today, but he will be going down. He should be very afraid.

I saw this Kindle ad last week and loved the song they used in the commercial. Amazon must have realized how much people liked it because they're offering the song for free.

UGH, no Nadal or Federer in the Australian Open final? Guess I'm just watching the ladies final this year.

New TVD & Nikita tonight! \o/
