::in Marilyn Monroe voice:: We're havin' a heatwaaaaaaave. We've been having some really weird weather over the past week. Record temperatures in the beginning of the week, then thunderstorm warnings last night. I saw a rainbow late yesterday afternoon, and just a half hour ago, it looked really yellow outside.

Tony Curtis passed away. Some cute pics of Curtis & Jack Lemmon:  back in the day and Josephine & Daphne years later, and some Spartacus love.

Joe Mantell, who co-starred in Marty and Chinatown, also passed away.

Oprah is reuniting the cast of The Sound of Music. But was the Lonely Goatherd invited?

Did anyone else see that masterpiece of filmmaking that was Sharktopus?! It garnered better ratings than Dexter and Mad Men! ~PUMPKIN~!

So, we've seen  Chris Pine with Reese Witherspoon on the set of This Means War, and we've seen  Tom Hardy with Reese Witherspoon on the set of This Means War, but where are the pics of Chris Pine & Tom Hardy? ::taps foot::

With this new addition to the Mission: Impossible 4 cast, I really want them to kill off or retire Tom Cruise's character. Everyone else in this movie is going to be so awesome, but Cruise is ruining it. :-\

I also really hope the CALM Act gets passed. Commercials are way too loud nowadays.

Pushing Daisies' Bryan Fuller is working on a remake of The Munsters. I can't even imagine what current actors could play these characters.

Chuck guest-starring news, Zachary Levi talks Tangled and reveals how much of a Disney nut he is, and Zac has unveiled his new website, The Nerd Machine.

LOL, it looks like David Hewlett going to guest star on one of the TV shows I watch and David Nykl will guest star on another one of the TV shows I watch! \o/

Someone on ye olde friendsfriends list linked to this fabulous meta on Stargate Universe and the Stargate franchise. The OP also has very thoughtful meta on Dexter, Justified, Discworld, Treme & more.

Since FOX cancelled Lone Star after only two weeks, they're bringing Lie to Me back a month early and placing it back into the Monday at 9pm timeslot and moving Human Target back to Wednesdays. I'm pleased with LtM going back to it's old slot ( promo & pics from the premiere), but I thought the Friday at 8 slot was great for HT and now I'm going to have to DVR it.

Just one thing to say about Rubicon: I LOVE YOU KALE INGRAM. But then, who wouldn't love a canon gay ex-Marine assassin? isagel posted a cap of my favorite moment from the episode.

I caught bits of No Ordinary Family during the commercials for NCIS and I liked what I saw. We'll see if the whole episode is as entertaining.

Chase is nothing special. I might catch repeats on Bravo, but I won't worry if I miss an episode.

Lane/Toni fanart by empressfunk [Mad Men].

Once Lucky Strike is out of the picture, can we have Sal back? And good job displacing your anger at your own situation with Lucky Strike onto Pete for "losing" the North American Aviation account, Roger. Don owes Pete big time for that.

Roger tends to act like such a puppy around Joan. I wonder if when Joan told the other mother that her daughter was 15, if that's how old a child she'd previously aborted would have been. And I wonder if she changed her mind about having an abortion after all.

Jared Harris' real daddy Dumbledore would never have struck him down like that! I exclaimed out loud when that happened. The actor playing Lane's father is actually Mark Sheppard's dad!

Is it wrong of me to take pleasure from watching Don freak out? With that last shot of Megan, I wonder if Faye is on her way out of Don's life, which would be kinda lame since Faye was more understanding about Don's past than he probably deserved. And speaking of Don's past, I LOLed at Don & Betty acting like EVERYTHING'S FINE over the phone, after belatedly realizing their phone call could have been tapped.

Boardwalk Empire

Al Capone made a statement. I think we all got the message.

Still ship Rothstein/Luciano. ;-)

Okay, I can't be the only person who thought Gretchen Mol was Jimmy's mistress. He mumbles so much, I missed the part where he called her "Ma."

People as square as Van Alden are usually hiding something, and so does he. When we saw he stole Margaret's ribbon, I said, "Oh no, don't be creepy..." ::he winds it around his hand and sniffs it:: "...too late."

DEXTER IS BACK!

It's funny. On any other show, we'd be rooting for Quinn to be a good detective, doggedly seeking out the truth. But since it's Dexter, we the audience are hoping he fails or dies or eventually accepts that Dexter may a killer, but not quite in the same category as the ones they usually go after.

I ::facepalmed:: when Deb and Quinn hooked up. Oh Deb. Also, TMI Quinn.

I am glad we got some closure with Rita with the flashbacks, etc, but it was all so sad! :-( :-( :-(

So happy my show has returned, and very eager to see where we are going this season. And after watching the season preview, I am extremely curious about how Quinn will deal with what he finds out about Dexter.

I'm still an episode behind on Castle, but regarding the premiere, I think Beckett let Castle off the hook too easily. I loved the stink eye he got from everyone in the precinct. Man, I missed Ryan & Esposito! Boo to Beckett's change in wardrobe!

Chuck

Nothing beats a slap-fight with Lou Ferrigno and the Old Spice guy using the label maker for target practice.

The scene where Casey and Morgan found Jeffster was hilarious. I'm glad they're no longer on the run from the Po-Po. ;-)

Uhhh, you're moving a little fast there, Chuck! Sarah just made the step of hanging her clothes up and you're immediately freaking her out about marriage and babies?!

NCIS guest-starring news.
NCIS

The general vibe on the show feels a bit different from last season's. I can't even explain it, but I like it. I didn't expect to like the interns in this week's episode, but I liked all three of them. And William Devane as an ex-covert ops guy was pretty great.

NCIS:LA

Interview with Peter Cambor with vague responses about what is happening with Nate. I'd be happiest if he goes away and never comes back, but a stretch of episodes without him is a good start. ;-)

ECO is doing an admirable job with the sometimes lame lines the writers are giving Deeks, and did we really need to hear the Marines say "Oorah" more than once? Oh! And that was the fastest helicopter ride from L.A. to Pendleton EVAR! It's also a shame they didn't do more with Alan Ruck.

Still loving the Sam/G.

Undercovers

Steven and Samantha remain adorable! The show still has very little edge, but I remain entertained. I like Leo (he's so enthusiastic, I wouldn't be averse to an OT3) and Hoyt surprised me with competence in-the-field. I'm worried about this show, though. The ratings just aren't there. :-(

Hellcats

I was wondering how long it would be before Aly picked up a guitar and sing. It only took a few episodes! I'm very glad that Lewis was honest with Marti about his indecision over his relationship with Alice. I think I said after the last episode that I couldn't ship Marti/Lewis as long as his relationship with Alice was so up-in-the-air (literally). Thank goodness the coach knows about Alice's issues. I also liked Dan's honesty with Savannah about his initial preference for non-monogamy, but I'm even happier he's giving monogamy a shot with her (though we'll see how long their relationship lasts). But everyone can have their cake and eat it too if Marti, Savannah & Dan became an OT3, as they are in my head. Threesomes really are the answer to everything. ;-)

I gave Blue Bloods a try last week and it was okay. It started off very well. I loved everyone preparing for the graduation and the graduation itself. It was a great way to set things up. Unfortunately, things went a bit downhill from there. The family gathers outside MSG after the graduation and the youngest son, who has just graduated, is criticized for becoming a cop. So not the time. And when one of Jamie's friends at the Academy introduces herself and seems rather friendly with him, Jamie repeats himself and it's ~awkward~ for a beat or two. I find it hard to believe a family of quick-thinking cops and lawyer couldn't keep that situation from becoming awkward. And oh dear, so much of the dialogue in the rest of the episode was basic or just lame. Yes, we got that MY BROTHER JOE was killed in the line of duty the first time. The scene where Jamie was confronted by the FBI was filled with more lame dialogue, but I think Donnie Walhberg's poor partner probably suffered the most. His lines were so useless. I know I'm really dogging this show out, but while I would expect a certain amount of bad dialogue on a show like Hawaii Five-0, I'm hoping for a bit more from a show like this, especially with a premise and a cast (dude, Len Cariou and Tom Selleck!) that has such potential. Hopefully whoever wrote the pilot won't be writing on the show anymore or will at least collaborate with someone else or let the actors ad-lib.

Two episodes into Detroit 1-8-7 and I like it. It's nothing groundbreaking, but it's actually quite amusing, I find the detectives appealing, and  I'm sort of fascinated by Michael Imperioli. I just hope the female detective gets more to do. We'll see how long the show lasts.

Interview with Glee's Heather Morris.
::bows down to worship at the alter of HeMo, Goddess of Dance::

"I petted a snake." "Are you a cat?" "Finn can fly?" I'M A SLAVE 4 U. ::fans self::

I think I'm going to switch out my current Brittany/Santana cheerleader icon for one of Brit & Santana in "Me Against the Music" because GUH.

Britney herself was a great sport about the whole thing.

Artie's version of "Stronger" sounded rather BSB, didn't it?

I really liked their version of "Toxic," as well. Fosse out!

Rachel remains crazycakes. Lea Michele seems really skinny this season. I could see her ribs in BOMT.

Will remains pathetic. I was as embarrassed as Emma when he was trying to woo her with his new convertible. Carl, though, is great!

John Stamos had a viewing party with Kevin & Jenna and his Full House girls! Another pic. I'm so happy he's still close to them!

Re: next week's episode. [Spoilers]

Song previews. Amber is going to tear it up with her rendition of Bridge Over Troubled Water!

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG. The kid playing young!Kurt is the spitting image of Chris Colfer. And with such a Kurt-heavy episode, they're probably planning to submit it for the Emmys next year.

Hawaii Five-0

&TEAM;

Danno is kinda like a mama bear, isn't he? Steve is kind of a crazy person, isn't he? Chin Ho is really ridiculously attractive, isn't he? I sometimes find it a bit hard to pay attention to what he's saying because I'm too busy staring at his amazing bone structure. Kono is really awesome, isn't she? She wears flats and she winked at wee!Sam Winchester!

And since I was in a mood after this episode, I made two OT4 icons:

Watching this preview for next week's Hawaii Five-0, I see we can look forward to a new popcorn.gif! And some info about episode 5!

I'l try to get to Terriers, L&O:LA, Fringe & Vampire Diaries next time around.
