WHAAAAAAAAAT.
They're moving the L.A. Times Festival of Books from UCLA to USC?! NO THANK YOU.
Wonderful
Treme casting news. I was just thinking that this person needed to be snatched up by a good show.
Castle guest-starring news.
MCH gave his oncologist a lovely gift: one of Dexter's blood slide boxes!
Unnatural History hasn't been officially renewed by Cartoon Network yet, but
the creator says renewal "looking very good." I still have to see the finale, but it deserves another season. I want to see Henry, Maggie and Jasper on my TV for many years to come.
Terriers hasn't been getting great ratings, which is such a shame because it's a really good and unique show. I love Hank and Britt and Katie.
Who on earth is that hiding in Hank's house?!
I knew Britt would have to somehow get his "friend" out of the way and possibly in jail to make him go away, and that was a fun and low-risk way to get it done!
I wonder if after the masochist client married his therapist he got another therapist. He still needed help, obviously. Ah well, too late now. :-\
I like the story of how Hank & Britt met. :-D Waffles are a bonding experience.
I'm also glad Britt just came out and told Katie how he actually came across her. That certainly wasn't the response I was expecting from her! That's why I like this show so much, I think. Unexpected things sometimes happen (I also wasn't expecting Britt's graphic description of Gretchen's fiance's private parts, though granted, that was just to wind Hank up). I just noticed they have a salt & pepper shaker collection. I love Britt & Katie, so sue me. ;-)
PLEASE DON'T CANCEL THIS SHOW FX!
Undercovers was cute! I could seriously watch Boris & Gugu bake or shoot or dance or plan covert ops or smile or speak in multiple languages or kiss all day long. Everyone else on the show pales in comparison, so I suppose it's fortunate that for once, they're the leads. ;-)
Unfortunately, the ratings weren't amazing for this show, either, but I'm not surprised. When a show like Two and a Half Men (with that "gentleman" Charlie Sheen) garners 14 million viewers while quality shows like Terriers and Rubicon struggle, I already know people are crazy.
Hellcats
O HAI GALE HAROLD! I'm glad he's doing well, and even though he's too good for this show (D.B. Woodside is, too), I'm happy to see him on my teevee being awesome. And he was awesome while wheeling-and-dealing with the cop at the station.
Hellcat's coach Vanessa's acting makes me cringe sometimes. Pretty much all her coaching scenes are dreadful. Her scenes with D.B. Woodside are better, probably because he's a much better actor and that probably encourages a better performance out of her. And the character of Vanessa is kind of an idiot. She needs to tell the football coach guy to leave her alone because he's not charming. That guy needs to go away yesterday.
Still ship Marti/Savannah, but even though I prefer M/F/M & M/M/M to F/F/M, I could be persuaded to ship Marti/Savannah/Dan. Lewis is currently a little too tangled up with his sneaky ex for me to like him with Marti. If not for that, I'd totally ship it.
GLEE!
Hello again, you crazy ridiculous show!
None of the musical numbers really wowed me, but I LOLed at Kurt's hair in "Empire State of Mind." Chris Colfer's lookin' good.
Wow, Rachel was really awful. Now, I've never been a fan of Charice and I'm happy her character Sunshine has moved to Vocal Adrenaline, but sending her to a crack house, even an inactive one, is crossing the line.
Nothing can convince me that Finn is not bisexual at the very least.
I'm sad to see Coach Tanaka go because I like that actor, but they went as far as they could go with his storyline, and I find Coach Beiste kinda fascinating. It's a little hard to tell how earnest she's being, especially after her smile when she got one over on sneaky Sue & Will, but they did make her cry in private. Her anger towards Finn took me aback (I think I actually leaned back when she yelled at him), but I understood she'd had a trying time and thought everyone was conspiring against her. Her continuing dynamic with Will and Sue will be interesting.
Poo cookies, Sue? Really? This episode did make me ship Sue/Will even more. Will showed (again) that he can easily be just as juvenile as Sue.
Becky was awesome in the cheerleader tryouts scene!
"Stop the violence." Thank you, Brittany. That Quinn/Santana girlfight was vicious! Still, Long Live the Queen.
I like Sam, but I wonder if he doesn't belong on a more realistic show. He's kinda normal, while everyone else is at least a little bit ridiculous and/or over-the-top.
Sorry, Artie, but playing video games all summer and ignoring your girl? I'm not surprised she chose Mike and his abs. ::tilts head::
And we finally got a taste of ~BROADWAY'S CHEYENNE JACKSON~!!! (You will never hear me say
"Get outta here, Cheyenne Jackson!") I've been eagerly anticipating his arrival since last season, when he was originally supposed to guest star (read the whole story in
this nice, long interview. The whole thing only showcases the awesomeness that is Cheyenne), but playing the director of Vocal Adrenaline is a much better gig for him. Now give him some awesome songs because
the man can sing, like
really, really sing (look at these
short shorts, and
this song makes me want to do the hitch-hike ;-)). Look at him workin' that Hello Kitty backpack!
(gifs by
fight_the_sky. And this is probably the last time I'll be using Tinypic, if I can avoid it)
NCIS
McGee is getting too skinny! Is Tony's hair a bit longer, too?
Boy am I glad they wrapped up that storyline because I'd had a enough of it last season. At least the pace was somewhat brisk (in comparison to some of last season's episodes when I was counting the minutes until it was over). Gibbs seemed a bit more lively in this episode to me, as well. Glad they didn't kill Pappy Gibbs, but I'm not surprised they didn't bump him off. And by the end of the ep, I was as ready to see Franks go as Vance was.
NCIS:LA
Sam/G lives on! As in, living together. I do like that G took his childhood home, though. I'm looking forward to seeing how he plans to furnish it! ;-P
Wow, Nate's apparently been demoted. No longer in the opening credits, considered a special guest star, and he was shipped off somewhere after one scene! I've never liked Nate so I'd be fine with him not coming back, but I feel for any actor being left in limbo. Hopefully they'll make it clear soon whether his re-assignment is permanent or if the plan is for him to return.
Kensi, why on earth did you choose a cover you know nothing about? The best cover stories and lies have a glimmer of truth to them. Sam learned all about wine, G I'm sure learned some parlor tricks. Kensi's got to have one hobby or interest that she can stretch into an occupation.
Welcome back, Deeks! I still enjoy his banter with the team, though I still can't quite buy him as an agent. He's a little LULZY undercover, though less unbelievable as a possible crook than poor Dom would have been.
Still have to catch up with Castle, Chase, and Detroit 1-8-7.
Tonight is the night! A two-hour BLOCK OF AWESOME! Vampire Diaries and Fringe! \o/\o/\o/\o/\o/ Everyone is saying Anna Torv is brilliant in the premiere, so I cannot wait.
I am so thirsty today. I have no idea why.
