Finally got my rotating headers together. I'd been meaning to do so for years, but since I knew I'd have to go through the trouble of finding free hosting somewhere, laziness won out. It's a little glitchy, I've noticed, but now I have seven headers: my usual Strangers on a Train with Emile Hirsch & James McAvoy, Jailhouse Rock, Gene Tierney sunbathing in a boat, Hedy Lamarr lounging in a sitting room, Ava Gardner looking gorgeous, Chris & Vin from The Magnificent Seven [the film, not the TV show], and Robin Hood & Will Scarlett chillin' in Sherwood. \o/ My next order of journaling business is to put together a layout for my Dreamwidth account. I haven't allowed myself to buy more paid time over there (and thus get all my icons back) until I finish that layout, but now that I've got rotating headers figured out, I can get started. ::rubs hands together:: (watch--it'll probably take me five more years to get it done...)
My cat's feeling better after I serenaded him with Broadway ballads for relaxation purposes. He's resting to make up for all the lost sleep. Now it's just us humans that have to make up on lost sleep.
One of my favorite celebrity couples,
Monica Bellucci & Vincent Cassel, just had their second child!
Orlando Bloom is going to play the Duke of Buckingham in the new version of The Three Musketeers. The Buckingham from the 70's version of The Three Musketeers has been on The Tudors lately.
My mom and I told my brother about our gay bar adventure on Saturday, to which Brother replied, "Oh, I've been to the gay bars in West Hollywood." Apparently one of his good gal friends ("The Magnet" he calls her) sometimes grows weary of unwanted attention while clubbing. She has a gay best friend, so they all go to gay bars on occasion. Though that solves her problem, it transfers a lot of the attention to my brother, who doesn't mind, but isn't there to get picked up. But knowing him, I'm sure he lets them down gently.
Treme is such a fabulous show OMG.
This was one of the sadder episodes, but still so good.
I wanted to weep with Ladonna finding out her brother was dead all along. An accidental death by falling from his bunk? Yeah NO. And now she has to hold onto that horrible news until after Mardi Gras.
And Big Chief Albert! :-( :-( :-( In general, they aren't portraying the police very positively on this show. That makes two characters so far the victim of police brutality, and this time with bonus racism to boot. ::shakes head in disgust::
Okay, Annie really needs to ditch Sonny. He's totally pulling her down, emotionally and professionally. Drop the baggage and the zydeco soul will come to you, ma chere!
I also mourn for the loss of Janette's restaurant, but she's resilient and I love her guerilla cooking. I really want her to find a way to re-open her restaurant and re-hire the lovely Jacques because they are adorable and love and respect each other. And Davis was actually sensitive and helpful!
OH NOES, Antoine's friend passed away! :-( And he got upstaged by another trombone player at the airport.
Bad days all around, but it looks like we get a small reprieve next week since Mardi Gras a comin'! Is that pirate!Davis? ;-P
