Well, crap. My uncle just called to inform us that my grandmother's (father's mother) health rapidly declining and she probably doesn't have much time left. The news hit me like a ton of bricks, and now my head is aching. Odd thing is, my brother just got home and said, "And I was just thinking about her the other day." Even stranger was the fact that I was, too.
I was gonna do a write-up of my evening at the Hollywood Bowl, but that'll have to wait, I think. In a nutshell, it was FANTASTIC. I've never seen people get so excited for classical music.
So, I've heard tell of a certain something floating around. Considering my connection, I doubt I can take advantage of this situation, but reading all the interesting new information has brought my excitement level up considerably.
And now we have not one, but
two actors attached to the American big-screen adaptation of State of Play. I honestly think these two should switch roles because this way the dynamic is all off, but oh well, whaddaya gonna do?

Alton Brown is going to be a
guest programmer on TCM on November 11. I wonder what his picks will be. And for a bonus, here's a funny little
