Well, school is fast approaching, and hopefully I will have more inspiration to update my journal! I’m my schools cultural person for 2006. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what sort of cultural events (music, drama, art, hospitality) are or were run at your own schools, things that were small, easy to plan, but ended up having a large amount of interest from the students. Because you see, my school is very small, and also a very lame country school. Many cows…chickens…and sheep. It incredibly hard to get anyone motivated or interested in anything that is being run so it will be a very big challenge to try and change that.
But I have plans…Oh yes I have plans! But implementing them and getting the permission needed to do what I want to do will be my main problem, more so than getting the interest of the students. My plan of attack is to focus on giving the students the opportunity to perform their own works in front of their peers and cultivate proper performances or displays.
And fire…my plan also includes fire…though the thing that is usually done with fire will have to be done without the fire due to school not being able to cover any accidents with their insurance…but the people who are involved are most certainly welcome to try with fire elsewhere!
