exchange in the valley

wow, i am so not technologically advanced as i think i am! ok, so here i am sitting in a pre-calc class with a bunch of juniors and possibly seniors. i've been here since like 7:45 this moring and so far i realyt like this school. it's nothing like our school at all. when we got here we all gathered in this classroom and just sat around waiting for the homeroom bell to ring. well, first they gave me a tour of the school, it's not a grand school or anything but the concepts here are awesome! like their homeroom is 20 minutes long but it constitutes as an activity period when meetings and stuff take place during school. i just kinda sat there cuz my lil tour person had homework to do with a fellow classmate. oh and get this, they are free to roam around whenever and wherever with passes! hello! did i hear someone say freedom? yeah, its cool, and all the teachers are wicked laid back and not down your throat. they also have block scheduling which i'm still not sure how i would handle. like right now i'm in a math class and typing this with one girls PDA! DURING CLASS! WITH INTERNET! NO BLOCKING WEBSITES! how stinking cool is this school?? but yeah, back to block scheduling, 80 minutes of a class can get a bit boring like before lunch i was in english and us exchangers had nothing to do becasue the students were working on a writing prompt and we had to go to the library cuz there wasnt enough roojm for us. everything here is just to mellow- i love that aspect. so yeah, we leave here in about an hour, i'll be glad to be getting back to school although i'll miss it here cuz its really laid back. the students and teachers have good respect for one another. the teachers arent all suspicious of your every move. GAH, math is evil. i looked up at the board only to see some crazy math equations....eek! stay away! so yeah, i'm still in awe about how the seniors and juniors get these PDA's with internet hookup. it really blows my mind. and we think we've all cool with the stupid apple laptops- *pssht* i can so see why the students here looked like a deer in the headlights when they came to our school- they musthave felt like they were in prision!!!! poor them. oh and another thing about them is that they....oh i forgot....oh i remember...nope just kidding....yeah, the lesson is about to start---its about the partial fraction composition...YIPPIE! *gag*. they set up a room for the exchangers with all kinds of cookies and fruit and goodies and i went after lunch to get a cookie and most all of it was gone! we eat alot! oh i remember what i was going to say earlier...the people here are much more, or seem to be more organized than we will ever be. yeah, theres only like 7 people in this class, its kinda nice, theres alot of people i recognize in the school from random school activities--mostly skiing. its cool cuz i wore this wicked cute outfit today and i figured i looked okay, but its nice to see people who dont dontknow check you out;) hehehe. score one for the audster! ah, and here comes the snow, blah! why?! it's april 7th-- it should not be snowing, the snow should be melting and making way fro fresh green grass and happy flowers and dry bike trails! depressing is the weather. ah, i'll be back.
