Must. Buy. Crossmen shirt.

Watched last night's DCI show with Dad. We ran a bit late, and the line was uber-long, but we ended up being just in time to see the second corp. Results:

1st: Phantom Regiment
2nd: Crossmen
3rd: Cascades

Now, in my opinion, Crossmen should've taken first, and Phantom Regiment second. Or, if not, then there shouldn't have been such a huge difference between the two, point-wise; Phantom Regiment scored almost 9 points more than the Crossmen. I'm sorry, but they were NOT that much better.

Best colorguard: Crossmen, followed closely by Cascades. The Crossmen's colorguard had tons of outfit changes, but they timed them really well--the band would do something eyecatching, and when you looked back to the colorguard, it was like, "Waitasec. They weren't wearing that a minute ago!" Nice. Also, they had only one male, and he was the focal point. He was AWESOME past all argument. He literally never messed up, from what I could see. The rest of the twirly-girls were just as great. Nobody in the color guard dropped anything, and never got in the way... Just, awesome.

Phantom Regiment had the best music, technical-issue-wise. The Cascades had the best songs. Crossmen totally had the best drum section.

Oh, and, it was so cute/sad/great! There was this li'l corp, Trinity, there as an exhibition (that's the word, right?) corp. Man, they were brave... Only 12 people. 4 horns (one trumpet, 2 baris, one tuba/bass/whatever), 4 drummers on the field, 4 in pit. That was at the beginning. Then the 4 drummers on-field switched over to brass. And at the end, they switched back, and the 4 in pit switched to bass drums and took the field, letting the corp finish with all 12 members marching at once. They did remarkably well, and I wish them a lot of luck.

Okay, that's all. I have to go do my Spanish homework and take a shower now, then go to class... And then work. Ugh.

Have a nice day, everyone!
