Concept Sketches

Today is my little brother's birthday. He has now a hammock. I still need to get him a present, so I will go hunting/gathering at the mall today.

I am making concept sketches for characters. Here's some of Ace:

I like the hanging belt idea, however, it'll look more like a belt and less like a sash when I model it. I still need to think up some more legends to make the story a little better. I'll do that soon. I want it to be a healthy world that players don't get bored in easily. I still need help though; if you are willing to lend a hand, by all means send me an IM if you have the talent.

Also, besides the battle tactics, here are some items I have thought of...

Items:
Chips: These small metal objects resembling poker chips are used as currency. White chips are worth 1, blue chips are worth 5, and red chips are worth 15. A silver chip is worth 50 and a gold one is worth one hundred chips.
Cards: A playing card with a heart on it can replenish 1 HP. A playing card with a spade on it can replenish 1 MP.
Deck of Cards: If you find a box of playing cards you can keep with you. If you are running low health or magic, you can use this to refill your HP (or MP depending on its symbol) to its maximum. You can only carry four decks of cards at a time.
Keys: There are four kinds of keys that you find in dungeons: heart keys, spade keys, diamond keys, and club keys, and they only will fit in the corresponding keyholes. When not being used in a lock, you can take them out and use them to bash enemies over the head. (Note: Keys are kept in the Special Items list.)
Skill Gem: The number of skill gems you get is equivalent to what level you are in the game. Therefore you start out at level 0. When you earn enough EXP, the last enemy who you destroyed will yield a Skill Gem. Skill gems don’t improve your power or defense, but instead give you more attacks to use with your sword. However, the attacks aren’t taught to you once you get the Gems; you’ll have to learn them on your own. Skill Gems also add one HP and MP to your health and magic.

Special Items (scroll through them by tilting the right analog stick side to side) [X]:
Sword: Press the A, B, and R buttons to do various attacks with your sword, the most useful item in the game. It’s used to defeat enemies of all shapes and sizes. You can use the Y button to pull a magic power from the hilt and use it.
Whiplash: Ancient treasure of Spades. You can slice enemies with this sharp chain whip by pressing X. You can also grab chips from high places and pull them in, as well as hitching it to rafters and swinging across gaps.
Magic Box: As long as you have magic with you, the sand that you fill this box with will cause unknown effects to certain objects when sprinkled on.
Nymph’s Pearl: This magic stone enables you to breathe underwater. While in water, use the control stick to move yourself forward, and hold X to dive deeper. Hold A to resurface.
Magic Card: Ancient treasure of Hearts. This odd-marked card can grow to an enormous size and can be used to glide or fly. Keep in mind, however, that you are at the mercy of the wind, and that smooth sailing is not a guarantee.
Dice: Highly flammable! Used as bombs, you can throw the dice at flimsy structures to blow them apart. The number you get when the dice land is proportional to the explosion that results. Therefore, if you get a six, run like heck.
Cape: This cape gives you the extraordinary power of dematerialization! That is, moving straight through solid objects like a ghost. However, it won’t work with really heavy objects, and you can still be hurt by enemies’ special attacks. It’s also a real magic drainer, so use this item with care.
Razor Disk: With a little practice, you can master throwing this flying disk and saw down enemies as well as cut ropes and vines.
Battle Axe: Ancient treasure of Clubs. Use this powerful item to strike down monsters that your other items can’t handle. This is the beast of all weapons!
Diamond Buckler: Ancient treasure of Diamonds. This handy item will protect you from rogue projectiles, and you can also use it to bounce off obstructions that your enemies might throw and send them flying back.

And magic powers, just in case.
Flamethrower: Does exactly what its name suggests. Use to burn up webs and other flammable structures, or light torches.
Icethrower: Like the flamethrower, but shoots a chilly gust of wind. You can freeze enemies into ice blocks and use them as climbing structures, and it can be also used to freeze water.
Gale: Shoots out a powerful horizontal tornado, so powerful that you have to be against a wall to use it, to avoid getting thrown backward.
Force: You can use this to pick up enormously huge items and make them float in midair! Move them from one place to another, or drop them down hard and break them apart. This technique requires a lot of magic.
Lightning: This attack is great for a whole bunch of enemies, forming a chain reaction of shocking destruction. There is, however, the danger of the chain reaction coming around and hitting you in the backside, so be careful.
Light: Use this to light up the darkest of dungeons. It only uses a little magic, but it extinguishes itself once you use another spell.

That's all for now. Bye.
