Snowmen on the March

I know a guy that every year, he takes some wire and creates a wire person. He calls them his children and hopes one day he can give them life. Then his army of wire children shall conquer the world for him.

At least HE has a productive reason for creating his wire children. I cannot fathom why people make snowmen!

For starters, snowmen have several disadvantages over wire children
1. They cannot come alive unless they have a magical top hat.
2. They are weak against Fire.
3. They are created in mans image, and therefore are a heresy.
4. Unless you spray them with water, they only have 50 hit points.
5. They cannot pass the Voight-Kampff test.

Yet, every year people go and make their snowmen even though they are going to melt soon. Its like they don't understand that this is Edmonton, not High Level. And therefore they are destined to meet with a tragic end.

Perhaps though, snowmen (or snowpeople) have some symbolic value to people. I mean its a chance for people to stop being so pedestrian and attempt art. Meaningful art to show what they value in the world!

Here is a tale of 2 teams of mature university students.

As I was walking down to CAB, I spied some drunk civil engineers working on their masterpiece

Then as I was walking to Movie Studios, I noticed these girls from Karaoke working on this snow person.

So what happened? Well the Karaoke international people created this work of art. A nice replica of the Venice de Snowoman:

As for the engineers... well they were drunk... perhaps a tad high... or maybe they heard Galactus was approaching and wanted to pleasure him into not eating our world.

Lesson:
Women are sick but artistic, men are gross but make political statements.

snowmen are everyewhere
