[filtered to the patrolmen, town guards, Franziska; unhackable]

We have a suspect.

Jonathan Teatime. At the site of the last murder, there was a faint blood trail leading back to the kitchens- only a few drops here and there, it's no wonder we haven't picked up on it. This leaves our possible suspects as Mr. Teatime and Mist, and of the two I think ( Read more... )

How'd you pick up on the blood trail? You part bloodhound?

Simple forensics, Squalo. I've been examining the crime scenes in detail, but it wasn't until the last murder that I found anything. Mr. Teatime has been extremely careful.

Couldn't it just be from someone who went to the kitchen to clean up the blood? Not saying it isn't him, but anyone can go into the kitchen. Probably easier to wash up there than go all the way up through the apartment building to your room.

Can you bring me a witness to testify to that effect?

In the meantime, confiscating the surplus of bladed weaponry I uncovered in his room is proving somewhat problematic. There are just so many of them, and I only have two arms.

VOOOII!! Who needs a witness? I'm saying it could have happened! Lots of people use the kitchen, not just the cooks. Especially late at night when all the cooks have gone to bed and you have to make stuff yourself.

Everyone needs a hobby, I guess. When your done with those I have a friend who might want them.

A great many things could have happened, but if it please you, I will concern myself with what did happen.

Shall we drag your friend in for questioning as well?

Why? You narrow it down to two or three people because you found a blond hair?

With a blood trail to his workplace, a motive, and any choice of murder weapon, I hardly see the need for further evidence. If you find any hairs, however, I suppose we can add them on the list.

You mean with a blood trail to a public area, no specific murder weapon, and a motive of being one of the guys on a long list of people that dislike Grif, all we have is circumstantial evidence right now. If the guy could get a decent lawyer, there's no way we could hold him. It'll probably work here, though.

Well, if the bodies don't stop piling up, I suppose we'll know if your theories have any foundation, won't we?

I have no problem with arresting the guy. He looks guilty as hell. But it's very easy to get off on a technicality. Voi, if you could see some of the thing people got away with back home! No wonder cops get so pissed off.
