[[private, unhackable]]

So many important memories- it's as if I'm being rewarded for my patience. What a concept. I will enjoy the carrot for as long as it lasts, though I'm quite certain the stick is on its way. It hardly takes a genius to recognize the reward/punishment pattern this place exhibits.

We will see how long this peaceful lull endures.

In the meantime, there is the matter of this memory. The Umbrella Pharmaceutical Corporation. A corporate giant with branches all around the globe, responsible for household names like Adravil, Safsprin, and Aqua Cure. The entire world spun on their axis. They held the stock market in their grip, and the patent office cowered at their name. It wasn't just medicine; they sold firearms, clothing, every commercial product their marketing branch could conceive.

I have checked my sunglasses. They, too, bear the Umbrella logo. It wasn't there until today.

They held the power of the world in their hands, and they used it to create miracles, medicine that saved the lives of millions of people around the globe. But the power of miracles is finite. Umbrella's vast resources had to come from somewhere. No one seemed to want to ask the obvious question- perhaps they didn't want to lose their hero.

Bioweapons. BOWs, we called them. Umbrella took the miracles they'd developed, intended to save lives, and instead turned them towards destruction. The manufacture of chemical weapons... and worse. Our research at the training facility was operated entirely on Umbrella funding. The T-Virus was their crowning achievement... Hah, in retrospect, the reanimation of dead corpses was perhaps their ultimate contribution to the hippocratic field.

"Preserving the health of the people", indeed.

A few short notifications. To everyone who purchased anonymous presents for me, you have my thanks. The snow globe is especially nice. The hat, I'm afraid, will not see daylight, although I suppose it's the thought that counts.

Miss Renge, there is a fine line between harmless pranks and harrassment, the latter of which is a punishable crime. You would do well to remember that.

McNinja... thank you for the tie. It's... nice.

Finally, I am afraid I'm unfamiliar with the medical practices here. Would anyone happen to know if Memento Eden is equipped with a pharmacy?
