An organism moves, functions, and exists as normal save for the fact that it does not breathe, eat, or sleep. It has no pulse, as its heart is little more than a useless lump of still flesh. It has no heat signature, no signs of life. For all intents and purposes, it is dead- and yet it lives, continuing its daily routine as normal.
