So I spent the weekend at my brother's wedding down in Portland. The whole trip was rather uneventful, which is a good thing I guess

Yeah, the tuxes turned out better than I thought. When I was told the wedding colors were dark blue/yellow I thought I'd have some problems with the color, but they actually looked rather sharp.

Cameron actually said from across the room when I was looking at the first pic "Who's the really pale guy with the orange hair?" I almost fell off my chair laughing. :P

haha, I knew I was going to stand out compared to the rest of my family, but I was surprised that everyone in the bridal party was so well tanned. I brought brown colored hairspray and offered to hide the orange for the wedding. I figured they weren't my wedding pictures, and I wasn't sure how supportive the brides family would be. Turns out they were very cool, and insisted I leave the color, since I was family now too and they wouldn't dream of asking me to change for them.

Thanks! It's getting time to touch up the color a bit already, but I'm really enjoying the mohawk. Finally found some decent hair glue which can hold my hair straight up for at least 3 days (yes, I did test that).

I love the tuxes, too. Very tasteful, with the vests and all.

Pretty handsome-looking wedding party. The bride looks very happy, and her dress is really loverly.

And I like the 'hawk, Gary. I think it looks really cool....goes with the wedding colours quite nicely. That was really nice that the new in-laws were okay with the colour and all. They sound like nice people.

What company did you rent the Cruiser with? Just curious. I've reanted a LOT of cars over the years, and I really like doing business with Enterprise. (No, this is not a plug, really...) I just like their prices and they always have weekend deals. And (not another plug, honest...!) Holiday In Express have nice rooms, comfy beds and good prices. (Commercial over, I swear!)

I got the Cruiser through Thrifty. It was a special for $25 a day, and I was rather happy with it. Probably paid too much for the insurance ($10 a day) but I know something would have happened without it.

Well, that's a pretty good price, really, for something that big. But, yes....they always get you with the insurance. I always get it anyway. I actually had an occasion to use it about 10 years ago or so

The worst part about the motel was that I almost booked one downtown in a much nicer place for only $10 more a night. I didn't think I cared about access to a hot tub until it was too late.

hehe, yeah, almost pimping in the tux. If I had managed to get the hair touched up before I left I'm certain I would have been tempted to go clubbing in it.

Yeah, my girl certainly makes me feel old sometimes. Hard to imagine time would pass so quickly.
