Portland Wedding

So I spent the weekend at my brother's wedding down in Portland. The whole trip was rather uneventful, which is a good thing I guess.

I didn't trust the mustang to make it all the way down there and be reliable, so instead I rented a car. Got a good deal on a PT Cruiser for the weekend. It was fun to drive (short wheel base and rather responsive), and I really enjoyed the cruise control - driving 85 on the Interstate can be very relaxing. Plus they have tons of room on the inside. If only it hadn't been white. I was unhappy with the color at first, since ANY other color would have been better, but by the time the weekend was over, I started to enjoy the contrast. Plus it was easy to find in the city parking lots (unlike our Vegas trip where we lost the rental in a garage and spent hours looking for it).

Small world: The "maid of honor" had brought her boyfriend along for the wedding. Happened to be a guy I worked and hung out with 6 years ago when I was living in Phoenix, AZ. Never would have guessed I'd run into him (or anyone I knew) at my brother's wedding.

I learned why I don't get the cheapest hotel available. Calling a cardboard box covered in blankets a "bed" doesn't make it any easier to sleep on. Next time I'm springing for a nice room with clean bedding. Can't really bitch too much though, anyone renting from Motel 6 should know what they are getting themselves into. Managed to leave my shaving kit at home and had to make a trip to 7-11 at 6:30AM in my rush to get ready for the wedding. They only had a package of pink "Lady Bic", which is the dumbest thing ever. They are 3/4 plastic with one tiny, pre-dulled blade. I went through 3 of them just trying to shave my face (and cut myself more times than I have in the past 3 years combined).

Anyway, don't really feel like typing out my whole trip here, and I'm sure most of you don't want to hear it anyway. I know you're just reading to get to the pictures. These are just the few I've uploaded.

Obviously I get less sun than the rest of them.

My litle girl. She looks a lot like her mother (luckily for her).

My brother and his new wife. (The cake looks crooked, but it's actually the table.)

My youngest brother. Looks just like I did 10 years ago. Kinda creepy really.

Me in a tux, with the mohawk I couldn't have during the ceremony.
