Fucking HATE the court system
So, a few weeks ago, I went out drinking on a Sunday night, then couldn't drive home. Left my car parked outside Wes's place and took a cab home. Ended up getting a $44 parking ticket for parking in the wrong zone. I was not happy, but yeah, I was in a zone 7 and had a zone 10 sticker (or maybe it's the other way around?). Anway, with the cost of the tickets and the cabs, I ended up spending close to $70 that night. I paid the stupid ticket and thought I was done with it. Now it turns out that they don't process ANYTHING at the fucking court house and the charge JUST went through on Monday night. (It was paid on Tues of last week.) Since they didn't even run the card when I paid, my bank didn't note the deduction in my account (like it does EVERYWHERE ELSE I USE MY CARD). Fucking bullshit. Since I thought it was already paid, I just barely had enough money left to get to next payday. When this went through, I went into overdraft, racked up charges on that, and now I'm sitting at -$50 in my account. No money for food, no money for gas, no money for anything. By the time the rest of the charges add up, and I finally get paid (in a week of course), I'll barely be able to cover rent and the negative balance.
Fuck the FUCKING court system and those fucking bitches that write parking tickets. I've paid ones I didn't deserve, and when I pay the ones I did "earn" they fuck you even further by pretending it didn't happen for a whole fucking week.
