Went on a bridge walk tonight with Other Emily and her friend. The loop between the Purple People Bridge and the suspension bridge is a nice route, nicer when the suspension bridge isn't under construction and mostly tarped up, but oh well. Also, there were detours because of the construction, but hey, more healthy exercise, right?
I think I need to start being better about making specific times in my schedule to do active things, as there seems to a certain amount I have to move every day or two otherwise my body is Not Happy. It's sort of like how I finally ended my love affair with ramen and started eating better--I realized that eating food with actual nutritional content makes me feel better.
But yeah, sitting all day, or even slow pacing just isn't cutting it, and well, doing anything more vigorous at work is at best entertaining the security staff. My boyfriend has decided to get up at 5am every day to go running, which I could theoretically join him on, but I don't believe in making myself suffer. Mornings should be relaxing and quiet.
So I don't know, we'll see. Suppose I could always try yoga, as there's at least 5 studios close to my house.
