baking
Yay for making cookies* at 1:12am to bring to work to bribe people tomorrow. Now if only the damn things would bake. I've checked the oven temp, I'm following directions, but they don't look done, and it's been about three minutes longer than the recipe said they needed (well, ok, it did say "or until golden brown", but I feel like that should have happened by now). Arg, I love my volunteers, but would also like to go to bed before 3am. :shakes fist at oven:.
Also, I really need to remember that I don't like Sam Adam's summer ale, and to stop ordering it, instead of going 'oo, ale!' and then being disappointed.
*Chocolate chip, from the recipe that comes with the chips. It's the only one I can manage without a fit of vapors and a quiet lie-down.
ETA: Aha, figured it out. The lighting in my kitchen/oven isn't very conducive towards correctly identifying "golden brown". Oh well, they still taste ok, and I like my cookies crispy.
