pretty moving pictures with zombies!

Hey look, I've seen movies lately.

Colma: the Musical = Cute coming of age story with lots of singing. At least one of the people involved with making this movie had to have grown up in Colma, a small town in the SF bay area that's apparently very popular to spend eternity in. Or, a place to avoid when the zombie uprising hits.

New In Town = Cute romantic comedy with lots of pudding and snow. Also, Renee Zellweger. This movie featured New Olm, MN, and would probably be a better location to sit out the zombie uprising, as it seems to have far fewer cemeteries and is pretty remote, so there are less sources for undead. Also, everyone seems to have guns and/or access to deadly factory equipment which would come in handy. On the downside, all the intro credits were in Papyrus, which has nothing to do with zombies, but did irritate me.

I Love You, Man = Cute platonic romantic comedy that wasn't stressing the setting. It was in generic California (I suppose it could have been bay area, but I'm basing this mostly on that there were hills, water, and at no point did we see the Hollywood sign), but the characters seemed like fairly resourceful people, so they'd probably do ok.

District 9 = Not cute at all (except for the baby alien, which was adorable) fake documentary about first contact. The moral of this story was that humans are dicks and aliens need hugs. Very well done. And the last thing any of these people need is an invasion of undead.
