A sketch from one of the Spring Grove photos. It's been a while since I've done something this fussy (instead of making shit up) and it was a nice change of pace. Also, working from those photos was a nice reminder of why you should never entirely trust a photograph. I did another sketch that I abandoned after I realized that the lens distortion + angle of view had caused some weirdness that would make the sculpture (of a human, which makes it much more noticeable than if it was simply an issue of linear perspective) look wrong, no matter how accurate to the photo I was.*
