Peeved
Stop calling them 'refugees'!!!! Were they tortured by ruthless leaders?!?! NO!! Were they thrown in prison for their beliefs?!?! NO!! Were they beaten and left to the animals to die?!?! NO!!! Rescued from death camps?!?! NO!! Then why the blatant use of the word 'refugee' for people who chose to stay in a hurricane? Evacuee I am ok with, that is logical, but I cannot grasp the 'refugee' part. Don't get me wrong, I feel awful for the people down there, I just hate how media can tranform the public viewpoint just by the use of small little words. Repeated often enough and people believe it as truth. Brainwashing is strange that way, isn't it?!
Ok sorry, that is my little rant for the afternoon.
