Picking No 3 child up from school today I saw a little girl trip up and hit her face off the ground. Poor wee lamb, she was bleeding really badly from her lip, but am pleased to say she was fine after it stopped ( Read more... )

Wow, sounds like you've been through the ringer as far as accidents and injuries. And as far as being unlucky, or even accident-prone, I think that's a possibility; but it may have more to do with who you are....let me explain ( ... )

Ouch! Not even close, but I stepped on a rusty nail, got blood poisoning and came near to losing my leg. I did have some good adventures though. If you're interested, I'll tell you the elephant story. :)

I can relate to you letting your child explore and learn on her own. They have to learn through their own experiences.

I agree, you have to let your kids learn the hard way. My daughter is so adventurous, it scares me. There's not alot she's afraid of, the bruises and trips to A&E are proof of this. My son is alot more cautious, in fact he's happy to veg in front of the sports channels, and only goes out to play football (no trips to A&E with him yet).
