So having phoned the nurse for the blood test results (an exercise in itself) to be told everything is fine except your cholesterol is too high, see the doctor.

I phoned the surgery and was given a 7.30 appointment, so there I was at 7.30 in the rain trying to get in to the building. Trouble is they were all in the basement trying to get the computer to work!

Still my GP unlocked the door to and saw me just as I was about to give up. Seems that the phone automatically diverts that early and they didn't hear the doorbell!

Anyway he had a look at my results pshawed at the cholesterol and after some tests informs me that I have Orthostatic Hypotension - a drop of blood pressure on standing or exertion. He suspects it should go away again in a month or so.

I can start cycling again, as I should only be dizzy when starting or stopping, not while cycling. Although looking out the window, the excuse was nice while it lasted....

Apparently I have to take things at a steady pace, really don't know what that one means.
