N- and I went on a mountain farm tour yesterday. The first farm included a two hour two by the farmer who specializes in sustainable agriculture. He is one of the people working to bring back the American chestnut tree. He showed terraced mountain agriculture, grabbed plants and passed them around for eating, and showed us how they grow ( Read more... )

I still haven't packed but at least by 10 tonight I had started making packing piles. I don't have to leave the house until 9:30 tomorrow so that will give me some time. I can't pack half the stuff until after I've showered anyway, and I have a list that won't let me down ( Read more... )
