I had intended to go to Butler yesterday for a project for class but
was feeling lazy and stayed home with N- for the afternoon. I had
packed a vegan brownie (attempt #2) for
springsea
in with my stuff for the LSO meeting, but left the room. I didn't
check for it before I left, and it was gone when I got to the
meeting. When I returned home, my dog kept circling the room
looking in sacks, bags, and boxes, which he doesn't normally do more
than once, which leads me to believe (using my amazing powers of
deduction) that he found and conquered said brownie earlier. Oh
and I found the plastic wrap under the table that he always hides under
to consume stolen human food.
Crazy monkey dog.
So vegan brownie attempt #2 was closer to what I have in my head, but
not quite right yet. This one used egg replacer (my first attempt
using this substance), applesauce, and a weird binding agent made of
peanut butter mixed with heated up alcohol. The brownies were a
little too fruity tasting to be quite right, but the texture was a lot
closer. I have six other recipes to try. Shoot, forgot to
get cocoa powder yesterday. Oh well. I will find the perfect vegan brownie recipe!
The Library Student Organization meeting went well. Strangely, we
didn't have a lot of the same people that are usually our stalwart
members, but several brand new people who I didn't know, and one new
person who I did know, plus a Girl Scout and her Dad. Long story
there. The meeting part went too quickly and I'm not completely
sure why; hopefully the council and I can improve on that (even though
it is probably my fault). The game part was fun for the most
part. I'm excited for the
events
we have coming up. I've had people from both Fort Wayne and South
Bend expressing interest in getting something going in their
area. I hope that works out, I think this could be really
successful if more people could put the time into organizing and
running that we have. It is definitely a lot of work, but I think
important.
Today I'm going to be Mrs. Lazy Bones. I have some letters to
write, some Felicity Season 2 to watch, and some books to read.
That's it, over and out.
