I don't know if you've seen the notice from LJ, but I'm reprinting it here just in case:

Recently, our community has been hit by spammers -- offensive ones at that. Fortunately, I can still count on one hand the number of spam messages our open community has received, but recently, I've been away more from my computer than usual and the spam entries have stayed up a lot longer because of it.
