Oh shit, I have to speak
Well, as most of you know, I am the CHCS recipient of the Daughters of the American Revolution Award. This entails me going to luncheon on Thursday, and what I thought would be sitting there and smiling and watching someone else win (I hastily wrote most of my essays, which sucked.)
I just got a phone call from the lady representing Cape Henry, and apparantly I have to make a speech; not a long one, just a minute or two, about pretty much anything. This sounds easy, but right now I am scared shitless; while I may seem confident when publicly speaking, it actually scares the shit out of me.
She said that I should sorta thank the Society, and then say a little bit about my future plans... I guess I plan to be optomistic and say that my future is an open book, and I hope to learn more about myself in college
