A years worth of accomplishments
Bathroom - tile around tub/shower; new floor, new oiled bronze fixtures throughout including shower rod.
Bedroom - painted ceiling, walls, trim. Repaired and painted furniture. Combined desk and magik cabinet into one unit. Painted and placed new cabinet under TV. New carpet. Removed old wall shelves, have new under window shelf. New full size iron bed, mattress. New door lever in oiled bronze. Bought laptop.
Hall - painted everything (6 doors in little hall!), installed new bi-fold door, matching glass door knob on tool/garden closet. Added shelves to large closet for storage which includes all paint that had nowhere to go. Organized tool/gardening closet.
Living room - refinished floors, framed windows, installed baseboard and painted both in very pretty apple green, new sheer curtains. New couch, TV console, 46" HDTV. Rearranged into two areas, living room (where I don't walk in front of people playing Xbox), and office.
Kitchen - new floor, stove and microwave. New faucet with sprayer. Got rid of freezer. (still lots to do in here)
Shed - cleaned out tons of crap, including mice living in old computer parts, took car load of computer parts/monitors to recycle, moved large counter from back to side, built box for wood scraps, put up shelves on back wall, pegboard above counter, organized everything including garden tools. Had electrical re-done with breakers. Bought new circular saw, compound miter saw and drill. Added window, trimmed outside of whole shed and painted to match house.
Garden - Had hackberry tree cut down. Got rid of telephone poles, all electrical crap and general trashiness. Re-did compost, added compost to beds, have an amazing variety of cold crop veggies growing. Planted strawberries last spring, doing fabulous! Made patio in middle of flower garden area, planted another blueberry bush, planted redbud. All raised beds cleaned out, full of organic soil, most with crops growing. Removed landscape timbers around flower garden area and replaced with more river rock. Started wildflower garden with seeds from sisters last year, blooming already this year! Planted more perennials, herbs and flowers. Have bluebirds in birdhouse! Have several varieties of tomatoes and sweet peppers, and artichokes all started from seed ready to plant soon. Have cedar tree trunks for posts for fencing around veggies. Cleared most of creek bank.
