Hooked myself a 10+ lb carp today(i wish i had weighed it). Kevin and I went fishing in mission trails for the second time and i got myself a monster haha. Also got a little catfish no more than a pound or two, and Kevin got a nice little bluegill. All in all a good time. Next week were gonna hit up lake jennings with Justin for some bigger catfish. However, I need to get a bigger pole so we can head back down to the ocean.
Ive come to find that fishing is very therapeutic, i get completely caught up in the moment and forget everything else on my mind. And its a really good way to spend our time, before we know it 3 hours have gone by and were out of bait. It really teaches you a lot of patience as well, you have to take your time and keep casting before you can get anything. I have decided that im going to spend all my free time now with a fishing pole in my hand.
